Changes to bus route X16 Risca to Cardiff

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 09:49, Wednesday September 28th, 2011.
Last updated: 15:46, Tuesday September 4th, 2012

Update: The X16 timetable has been updated for September 2012.

From this week journeys on bus route X16, previously provided by Veolia Transport Cymru, will now be provided by Newport Bus.

There are no changes to the timetable, and journeys currently provided by Stagecoach in South Wales will not change.

The fares on Newport Bus journeys are priced at:
Adult single £1.40
Child single 90p

There are no return fares however passengers can purchase a day ticket priced at:
Adult day £2.75
Child day £2.20

This means a journey from Risca to Cardiff is now £1.40 single or £2.75 return.

Stagecoach in South Wales will accept day tickets for return travel on journeys departing Cardiff at 7.25pm and 9.55pm as far as Risca town centre.

Concessionary pass holders can use Newport Bus the same way they would use other buses in the county borough for free.
