The A469 in Ystrad Mynach will be partially closed over the next three weekends due to surfacing works.

Major highway improvements are underway in the area as part of the new hospital development – Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.

The first closure will take place on the weekend October 8 and 9 for surfacing works on the southbound carriageway. Southbound traffic will be diverted onto the northbound carriageway. The northbound will be diverted onto Caerphilly Road, as per previous closures.

The second closure will take place on the following weekend, October 15 and 16 and is for surfacing works on the northbound carriageway. Southbound lanes will be open for southbound traffic. Northbound traffic will be diverted onto Caerphilly Road.

The third weekend will be October 22 and 23 and will have the same arrangements and diversion as the previous weekend closure.
