Caerphilly Business Forum has appointed a new marketing and events officer.
Natalie Whyatt has joined the CBF from Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel and Spa in Maesycwmmer where she was marketing manager. Her role saw her developing bookings for a wide range of events from weddings to corporate activities.
Caerphilly Business Forum itself numbered among her clients and she’d helped organise the forum’s annual awards, business breakfasts and numerous other successful events.
CBF chairman Andrew Diplock said: “Natalie’s worked along side us in her previous job so she knows a lot about the organisation and the role and we’re delighted to have someone with her experience and enthusiasm now working directly with us.
“The forum has grown significantly in recent years but it’s important that it continues to do so and Natalie will play a key role in that by meeting members and potential members, drumming up support and planning events.
“For those who aren’t familiar with Caerphilly Business Forum or what our purpose is, the forum provides a voice and a focal point for all businesses in the county borough and others from beyond our boundaries who have an interest here.
“We have good working relationships with Caerphilly County Borough Council and with our other elected representatives in both Westminster and Cardiff Bay. And our voice is heard loud and clear in the media – not just here in Caerphilly but much further across Wales.
“But to represent businesses and their interests properly it’s vital that they join us and hopefully play an active role. I’ve been delighted to see how members have been so quick to come forward with ideas, help plan events and create a real buzz of excitement.
“Natalie will be looking to harness this energy to organise more successful events ranging from briefings on new developments affecting businesses in the area to topical insights and out-and-out networking events.
“Our 10th Annual Awards in association with Coleg Gwent will be held on Friday November 11 at Llancaiach Fawr near Nelson. It will be the biggest and best attended event we’ve ever held though there are still a few tickets available. Natalie will be in touch with many of you in the lead up to the evening. We look forward to seeing you there.”
