Islwyn MP Chris Evans has thanked residents for their generosity in a Christmas shoebox appeal to the Romanian Aid Foundation.
Shoeboxes filled with toys and treats have been collected from all over Islwyn and handed to the Romania Aid Foundation to distribute to needy families across Romania.
Mr Evans said: “I am delighted that people from across Islwyn have helped to spread a little bit of Christmas cheer this year by helping Romanian families.
“I would like to pay tribute to the work of the charity that came up with this fantastic idea. Thanks to them, children across Romania will have presents to open on Christmas morning.”
