Special Constables from Gwent Police have been recognised for their work volunteering for the force.
They won Team of the Year award for the second year running at Special Constables All Wales awards held recently in Brecon.
Deputy Chief Constable Jeff Farrar who is the Special Constabulary lead for all four Welsh forces said: “This is another great achievement for the Gwent Special Constabulary demonstrating the hard work of our volunteers.
“The award ceremony demonstrates the value of volunteers within the policing community and benefits we gain from our volunteers’ dedication and commitment. We have always known that special constables provide an invaluable service to the community and that they are a valuable addition to policing but this award is recognition for their ability to integrate and provide a results – orientated difference within specific campaigns.”
