Police charge two Bargoed men for Newbridge shop knife raid

Police have charged two Bargoed men after a Newbridge shop was raided at knife point.

The robbery happened at approximately 3pm on Wednesday September 1, at Greenfield Stores in Newbridge and robbers made off with cash and cigarettes.

A 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from the Bargoed area, have been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 26-year-old had also been charged with possession of class ‘B’ drug. A 21-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the raid has been released without charge.
