Crosskeys students help clean-up their campus

Independent Living Skills students at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys Campus kicked off their ‘Keep the Campus Clean’ campaign last week.

In conjunction with Keep Wales Tidy, and as part of their ASDAN course, the students are determined to ensure the campus and surrounding area are litter free.

On the first day alone they collected five bags of rubbish, making the new campus cleaner, tidier and a safer place to learn for all students and staff.

Tutor Victoria English is really pleased with the students’ work so far.

She said: “Already the students have won praise from local residents who have commented on how good it is to see young people out and about caring for the community. They really enjoyed the sense of accomplishment it gave them.”
