More than 20,000 people turned out to watch this year’s magnificent firework display at Caerphilly Castle held on Saturday November 6.

Set against the back drop of Caerphilly Castle the free event raised thousands of pounds for local charity.

Caerphilly Children’s Centre, St Cenydd School Sensory Needs, The Joshua Foundation and Caerphilly Lions will all get a share of the £6,000 raised.

A selection of photographs uploaded to picture sharing website Flickr is below. Send your pictures from the firework display to news@caerphilly.observer

Emma Wallis travelled from Cwmbran for the display and sent in her pictures to Caerphilly Observer.

She said: “The fireworks were amazing, and the event was so well organised again. I was worried it wouldn’t go ahead, but so glad to see it was still held.

“Thanks to all the organisers, it was a smashing evening.”
