Islwyn MP Chris Evans has praised the entrepreneurship of local business start-up, Orbit Print Ltd after a recent visit.

Mr Evans was invited by the company’s directors David and Michael Hopkins and Scott Bennett, to visit their printing and production facilities at Oakdale Business Park.

He said: “It is absolutely wonderful to see first-hand the dynamism of this young local business which has shown that even in hard economic times new businesses can flourish.

“The long-term economic future of Islwyn will be founded on the success of local companies such as Orbit Print. They are a credit to the area. It is now up to the Government to ensure that rather than making cuts, it supports local businesses with investment in skills and infrastructure.”

Orbit Print Ltd specialises in wide format and business printing and provides customers with a range of print services and products.

These include canvas, photo and poster printing and the production of made-to-order business cards, flyers, leaflets and banners.
