Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert has released his latest DVD – with help from a New Tredegar production company.
Zipline Creative has produced a 30-minute ‘mockumentary’ called Back To Llanbobl (Again), starring Rhod for his latest live DVD – The Cat That Looked Liked Nicholas Lyndhurst.
The film follows Rhod as he traces the causes of his anger problems around his hometown.
Producer and director Rhys Waters, of Zipline Creative, said: “As always it’s a pleasure to be working with Rhod again, I don’t think many comedians are as committed to giving fans good quality, entertaining content in the extras.
“We were determined to make something original and distinct, and with Rhod’s superb writing and comedic instinct everything fell into place.”
It is not the first time Gilbert has worked with the company on a DVD of his.
He said: “It was great working with the lads again. Last year’s extras went down really well so it made perfect sense to work with Zipline for my new DVD.
“They are dedicated to making each project the best it can be, which is a brilliant energy to bring on set.”
The Zipline team have been producing work with Rhod since 2007, from short films for his stand-up tour to the TV series Rhod Gilbert’s Work Experience.
Zipline, founded in 2007, has seen steady growth since it began trading and now boasts regular customers like Aston Martin Lagonda, the BBC and Channel 4.
Based in New Tredegar, the company has specialised in producing high quality video, special effects and animated graphics.
Rhod Gilbert And The Cat That Looked Liked Nicholas Lyndhurst is available to buy now.
The company has also produced an advert for Caerphilly County Borough Council on the importance of IT to local business, which you can see below.
