Independent Living Skills students at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys campus are continuing their cleaning campaign, with help from Caerphilly County Borough Council, Keep Wales Tidy and business studies students.
The nine students have been clearing hedgerows then planting bulbs provided by the council, so students can look forward to a flurry of snowdrops and daffodils once spring arrives.
ILS lecturer Victoria English said: “The students got a real sense of achievement making the area look good and are excited about seeing the floral display in the spring. They also enjoyed working together on such a project and plan to collaborate on other projects.”
The students started their campaign by littler picking at the campus last month.
