A health and beauty spa is hoping to get their name in the record books tomorrow by give 100 facial treatments in just six hours.

Captiva Spa, which is just off the Cedar Tree Roundabout, Caerphilly town, is offering the 15 minute treatments for free as it aims to break the world record of 50. Money raised through donations will be given to Children in Need.

Spa manager Dr Sarah Bruton and her team will be watched by specialists to validate their record.

The record attempt starts at 1pm Friday.

Dr Bruton said: “This is a great opportunity for us to raise money doing what we do best.

“We are all very excited at the prospect of also achieving a world record and making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children in the UK.”
