Plans by Caerphilly County Borough Council for the regeneration of Newbridge town centre have gone on display.

Residents will have the chance to view the proposals over the next fortnight

More than £3.7 million from European and Welsh Assembly Government grant aid has already been approved for various projects in Newbridge, part of which has gone towards the cost of Calzaghe Bridge, with the remainder to be spent on further improvements.
An exhibition detailing the second phase of works is on display at Newbridge Memorial Hall and Institute between December 1 and December 15.

Officers from the council’s Urban Renewal Team will be on hand to answer any questions on:

  • Thursday December 2 – between 10am and 2pm, between 4pm and 6.30pm
  • Friday December 3 – between 10am and 2pm, between 2.30 pm and 4.30pm
  • Saturday December 4 – between 10am and 2pm
  • Saturday December 11 – between 10am and 2pm
  • Monday December 13 – between 3pm and 6pm

Councillor Ron Davies, cabinet member for regeneration and planning said: “I would encourage as many local residents as possible to come along and view the exciting draft enhancement proposals for the regeneration of the town – it is important that the people who live in, work in or visit Newbridge have their say on the future of their town.”
