Pontllanfraith pupils show off their entrepreneurial skills

Year 10 pupils Scott Browne, Shane Higginson and Kerry Harris have ventured into the field of eco-merchandise

Pupils from Pontllanfraith Comprehensive School have been showing off their entrepreneurial skills, by selling their eco-friendly merchandise at Caerphilly County Borough Council’s headquarters.

Year 10 pupils Scott Browne, Shane Higginson and Kerry Harris have ventured into the field of eco-merchandise, most notably eco-friendly shopping bags.

The trio have been selling their goods to staff and visitors to the council’s Ty Penallta recently and are being mentored by Business Development Manager Sophia Ali of Gwent Hospitals Contributory Fund.

In addition to the eco-shopper bags, environmentally-friendly stationery was also soaring off the stall, adding well-deserved funds to their pot.

A council spokesman said: “Natural salesmen, they would have made Lord Sugar proud with the numbers of products sold through their hard work and determination.”
