Three men arrested over armed robbery of Pentwynmawr takeaway

Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery on an Indian takeaway.

The Taste of India, on High Street, Pentwynmawr was raided on Sunday April 22 at about 9.50pm.

Two men, armed with a hammer and a firearm, came into the restaurant and demanded money from staff.

Police said they made off with a significant amount of cash and its believed they ran down a lane opposite which leads to a sports field.

No one was injured in the incident and there were no members of the public inside the restaurant at the time.

Gwent Police said 22-year-old man from Crumlin two men from Pontllanfraith aged 25 and 23, were arrested on Friday night in connection with the raid.

    Gwent Police really do appear to have solved this gun crime in double quick time.

    Is this a sign of better things to come in their attention to gun crime in the County?????
