An open day will be held at the Birth Centre in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach on Friday May 17 between 10am and 3pm.
Jackie George, lead midwife at the midwifery-led unit, said: “We want to encourage anyone who is considering using our services to come along and see for themselves what’s on offer here.”
Women with low risk pregnancies are welcome to birth at the unit, and antenatal care is also provided for women with higher risk pregnancies.
On average 30 babies are born on the unit every month and there are two water birthing pools, breast feeding support, baby massage classes. Parent education is also available.
