Eight arrested in connection with Kyle Vaughan murder investigation have bail extended

Eight people arrested as part of the murder investigation into missing Newbridge man Kyle Vaughan have had their police bail extended.

Mr Vaughan, 24, was last seen on December 30 last year when his damaged silver Peugeot 306 was found on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys.

Known to friends as ‘Jabbers’, the former Cwmcarn High School pupil is suspected to have been murdered.

Eight people have been arrested and released in connection with the investigation so far and answered police bail this week. They will next report to police in October.

  • A 27-year-old man from Blackwood, arrested on suspicion of murder.
  • A 21-year-old Newbridge man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
  • A 62-year-old man from Newbridge, arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, have answered their police bail.
  • A 15-year-old boy from Abercarn arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
  • A 27-year-old man from Blackwood arrested on suspicion of murder.
  • A 22-year-old woman from the Newbridge area on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, a 27-year-old woman.
  • A 28-year-old man from Cwmfelinfach both arrested on suspicion of murder.

Earlier this month charity Crimestoppers issued a £5,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
