A party of 32 Caerphilly and Llanbradach residents have returned from the biennial twinning visit to the twin towns of Lannion and Ploubezre in Brittany.

Staying with local families, the group enjoyed a packed four-day programme of activities.

This included visits to a local market, an organic farm and the picturesque chapel at Kerfons.

There was also a day trip to the Breton capital of Rennes, with a guided tour of the city, followed by a visit to the old Breton Parliament, now imposing Appeal courts.

John Reardon, Chair of the Twinning Association said: “Once again our hosts ensured that we had a varied programme of activities that suited all ages. Many of the group have been visiting Lannion and Ploubezre for a number of years and so have forged strong friendships with the Bretons, experiencing different cultures and backgrounds.”

Next year  residents from Lannion and Ploubezre will once again be visiting Caerphilly and Llanbradach.
