Newbridge Leisure Centre has reopened its doors to the public after a revamp.

The extensive renovations include a new reception area, pool side accessible changing facilities and a newly tiled pool.

Caerphilly County Borough Mayor Cllr Gray, who officially reopened the centre, said: “For many years this leisure centre has offered outstanding facilities and now this can continue for generations to come.”

Cllr Poole, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services, said: “It is clear how popular this facility is to the residents by the sheer number who have turned out today to join us to celebrate the reopening of this outstanding leisure centre.

“Our investment will enable everyone access to the best facilities and give them the opportunity to enjoy healthy and active lifestyles.”

The first weekend of the reopening saw 1,100 people use the newly refurbished leisure centre.
