Plaid to hold hustings for Islwyn general election candidate

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 17:00, Tuesday August 13th, 2013.

Plaid Cymru in Islwyn announced at their monthly constituency meeting on August 8 that they will be holding hustings to select their Westminster Parliamentary candidate to fight the seat at the next UK General Election.

Chairman Mike Jackson said that the hustings to select the candidate will be held Thursday, September 12, and all registered members of Plaid Cymru will be invited to attend, listen to the presentations of the candidates and ask questions of them before voting.

Crumlin ward councillor Keith Lloyd added: “Plaid members were very upbeat following the outstanding success of Rhun ap Iorwerth at the Ynys Môn Assembly by-election and Steve Skivens and Michelle Britton in the Caerphilly county borough and community council by-elections in Penyrheol.”

No doubt Steffan Lewis will be the candidate again and have himself plastered all over busses like he did in 2010 and 2011. A Plaid Cymru vanity stunt coming right up . . .

    A candidate promoting himself?

Shocking. Hanging's too good for people like that.
