More than 30 youngsters from the Van Summer Playscheme, in Caerphilly town, recently took part in a litter pick.
The youngsters worked alongside Caerphilly County Borough Council to clear their local area around the Mornington Meadows estate, and managed to fill more 30 bags full of litter.
Cllr David Poole, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services, said: “The children on the Van Summer Play Scheme have undertaken a variety of activities during the holiday period and the enthusiasm they displayed in helping to clean up their environment is an example for us all to follow.”
