Thousands of people helped to celebrate National Play Day by attending a special event at Morgan Jones Park in Caerphilly.
The special day, held on August 7, was attended by Deputy Minister for Tackling Poverty Vaughan Gething.
Mr Gething said: “Play is such an important part of our children’s lives, helping them to grow both physically and emotionally.”
Families also flocked to the YMCA in Gilfach recently for another play day.
Children were entertained for the afternoon with an array of activities including pottery, plant potting and Zumba.
The second play day was organised by the Your Way project, a scheme that works with children aged four and upwards whose lives are affected by someone else’s misuse of drugs, alcohol or prescription drugs.
