They know the difference between a memory stick and an ice hockey stick, but that hasn’t stopped a Bedwas IT firm from sponsoring the Cardiff Devils.

Excellence IT, based on Bedwas House Industrial Estate has signed a three-year deal as a shirt and rink board sponsor.
In another development, the company has also been signed by the Devils as a supplier.

As official IT supplier to the Devils, Excellence IT will look after all of the team’s computer needs from servicing laptops and PCs on-site to hosting and managing its email service.

Excellence IT’s relationship with the Devils started with a visit to a game.

The firm’s co-founder and director Andy Green explained: “It all started last year when we came down and watched a game with another sponsor. We really enjoyed it and what we really liked was the family-friendly atmosphere. It’s great for children.

“Our sponsorship is something that will help raise our profile but we also wanted to get involved and support a great South Wales sports team which has a loyal and growing fan base.

Fellow co-founder and director Andy Beer added that the firm was also delighted to join the Devils as a supplier.
He said: “We have been working on business and cloud services for a couple of years and we were able to offer the Devils a fantastic package. It was a great fit for both parties.”

Kris Agland, communications director with the Cardiff Devils, said: “The way IT Excellence works fits well with the fast-paced nature of our organisation. They are quick to respond to everything and they have made it a lot easier for us this year.”

As well as supplying, installing and servicing a range of IT infrastructure, Excellence IT also provides IT training at its Bedwas base.
