A well-known award-winning fish and chip shop has reopened after a £120,000 refurbishment and rebrand.

The Fish Factory, in St Cenydd Road, Trecenydd, has had a complete makeover with new energy efficient fryers installed.

Owner Fabian Benvenuti, whose family have run the chip shop for almost 40 years, said he had done everything to make the business as green and as energy efficient as possible and used as many local contractors as he could.

He said: “I wanted to a get a recognisable brand out there and I would love to open more shops.

“Our name has changed but our chips haven’t. They’re still the same as before, but a little better.”
