Bedwas-based Peter’s Foods has won a prestigious marketing award.
On October 2, the firm walked away with the ‘Food, Drink and Retail’ category prize at Canmol: Wales Marketing Awards, organised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
The company was shortlisted for its promotional efforts such as finding a mini version of Wales prop Adam Jones and immortalising Wales centre Jamie Roberts in pastry.
Its ‘Luv Wales, Luv Peter’s’ campaign targeted a new younger consumer with a campaign, which saw the brand use a range of multimedia platforms, including radio, petrol nozzles, billboards and online advertising to reach a wide and targeted audience.
The campaign delivered 13% growth year-on year and boosted brand awareness in Wales growing by 10%.
Clare Morgan, Marketing Director at Peter’s Foods, said: “A lot of hard work from a lot of people went in to making this campaign the success that it became and we are delighted that this has been recognised by such a well-respected industry body.
“The results really do speak for themselves – as a brand, we continue to go from strength to strength and are consistently tapping in to new and exciting markets for our products.
“It’s been a great year for Peter’s and we’re very much looking forward to implementing the next phase of our marketing activity, with plenty more exciting developments planned.”
Peter’s will now go forward to the national CIM Marketing Excellence Awards, the shortlist for which will be announced in November, with winners confirmed at a London ceremony in February next year.
