Pentwynmawr AFC’s new kit thanks to Newbridge shop

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 13:00, Friday November 15th, 2013.

A local football team is sporting new kits after a convenience store agreed to sponsor them.

Pentwynmawr AFC will now be seen in their new yellow and black striped football shirts, supplied by KK Convenience Store, in High Street, Newbridge.

Sandeep Patel, owner of the Premier Store, said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to support the team, and provide them with new kits. One of our main aims is to get more involved with the local community, and make a difference wherever possible.”

Ben Lewis, Pentwynmawr AFC’s Chairman, said: “We really appreciate all of our sponsors as we wouldn’t be able to run without the investment that you have contributed to us.”

Pentwynmawr AFC was created in 1962, and is currently affiliated to the Gwent County Footfall Association and the North Gwent Football League Association. It is currently enjoying life in its highest ever league.
