Grant deadline approaches for Caerphilly businesses

Business, News | Richard Gurner | Published: 17:00, Thursday December 5th, 2013.

Time is running out for entrepreneurs to apply for a European Union-backed grant scheme.

The Budding Businesses grant can offer 80% towards the cost of a project and will soon be winding up.

There is currently money still left for capital projects of £5,000 and over.

The grant is administered through Caerphilly County Borough Council’s rural development programme Caerffili Cwm a Mynydd.

Caerphilly Observer launched its print edition six months ago through a successful Budding Business grant application.

It's worthless. The conditions attached with the grant are almost impossible to meet. It's not lack of cash that stifles business but red tape. When will politicians of all parties realise this?
