Another accolade for Caerphilly energy firm

Business, News | Richard Gurner | Published: 15:00, Monday March 3rd, 2014.

A company which provides energy saving solutions for businesses has been shortlisted for another award.

SERS Energy Solutions Group, which is headquartered on the Gallagher Retail Park, in Caerphilly, has been named in the ‘Most Promising Growth Business’ category in the South Wales Chamber of Commerce Welsh Business Awards.

The accolade recognises SERS’ achievement in tripling in size in just two years.

News of the shortlisting comes on top of SERS being listed in the Sunday Times Virgin 100 table, as well as picking up the Retrofit Installer of the Year award for its insulation work.

SERS has increased its sales by more than 50% a year, over the last two years and has tripled in size, achieving a sales turnover of £27.5 million and employing more than 150 people.

The awards will be presented at the Welsh Business Awards dinner to be held at The Vale Resort, Hensol on February 27 and will be hosted by Olympic downhill skier Graham Bell.

SERS director Mike Roberts said they were delighted to have made the short-list for such a sought-after award for Welsh-based businesses.

He said: “We have a great relationship with the community around our Caerphilly headquarters and we believe that our success helps that community through employment, training opportunities and our work with business in the community.”
