A 36-year-old man has been charged with attempted assault after an attack which left a 27-year-old woman needing hospital treatment.
The attack happened on Yewtree Road in Newbridge on Wednesday April 2. The 27-year-old local victim suffered a small cut to her neck and a broken finger and went to the Royal Gwent Hospital for treatment.
A 36-year-old man is due to appear before Newport Crown Court today, Monday April 7, charged with attempted assault.
