Property is one of the bedrocks of the UK’s financial wealth – and someone has to look after it.

Response Property Repairs was founded in October last year by seasoned construction entrepreneur Nigel Davies.

Nigel, from Penpedairheol, explained: “We provide reactive and planned maintenance, fire regulation upgrades along with disabled installations.

“We service private landlords, estate agents and letting companies and can also provide digital damp and timber surveys. We can also provide inventory and checkouts for private landlords and property management companies.

“We are a company that will travel. Our geographical range is about one hour, so we can get to Carmarthenshire, Hereford and across to Bristol.

“We deal with the national clients and local landlords as well.

“One of our key clients is Bayside Estates in Treharris.”

Carla Lewis, of Bayside Estates, has been impressed with Response Property Repairs.

She said: “I have worked in the letting industry now for ten years plus. Two years ago I opened my own letting agency Bayside Estates Sales and Lettings Ltd. Having been in the industry for all these years I have worked with a number of tradespeople, and I can honestly say Response are by far the most reliable firm I have had the pleasure to deal with.”

With four employees, Response Property Repairs is keen to grow further and one of its employees will be starting an apprenticeship in September. The company also has strong links with Coleg y Cymoedd in Ystrad Mynach, CITB and local schools.

Nigel said the support he has received since being at Welsh ICE has ben invaluable to the company’s growth.

He said: “As well as the support, Welsh ICE is a great place to meet with clients and I’ve forged some very strong friendships here.”
