Every company can get weighed down by administration, whether it’s answering calls, scheduling appointments or book-keeping, but that’s where Wize come in.

The virtual administration company launched in July 2012 and now boast six members of staff and over 20 clients.

Wize remotely takes care of companies’ administration necessities, including reception services, PA, events management and telemarketing.

Virtual Admin Director, Cariann Jones, began working part-time when her mother, Mandy Weston, launched the company after being made redundant from a local company.

The company has utilised funding available to new businesses from the Welsh Government and the local authority and Cariann is now part of the day-to-day business management full-time.

The 25-year-old said: “We’ve grown because of Jobs Growth Wales and have had equipment grants from Caerphilly Council.

“In London and the United States virtual admin is massive but in South Wales and other areas it’s a bit of a new concept for people and businesses.

“We won ICE member of the year this year, which was unexpected, and we’ve been here from the very beginning. I don’t think we would be where we are without the community ICE offers.

“The win has given us the push to go for more awards and I’ll be entering Business Woman of the Year at the upcoming Caerphilly Business Forum Awards and Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the South Wales Business Awards.”

Now an accredited customer service course provider, half of Wize’s staff members are aged 25 and under and are keen to build upon their employment and client successes.
