I really do not like how this is written. This article makes it sound as if these two boys were in an altercation TOGETHER which is UNTRUE. The Police were called due to an altercation involving two completely different men! The man that was attacked was not involved and was attacked from behind whilst walking to a taxi! GBH with intent INDEED… Who punches some one with their back turned, completely unaware, with such force that they are still now fighting for their life?! Bad article which people will read wrong and it is unfair. Hopefully people will read this comment.

I agree with EJ this article makes it sound as if the victim was fighting, which he was not! He wasn’t involved at all but got assaulted by a thug for not reason at all!

    Hi EJ, Hi LW,

We have reported what the police told us and I am sorry if you feel the article is misleading.

We said the victim was assaulted and we have not said or implied anything else. The Contempt of Court Act 1981 restricts us to what we can report until the matter is heard in court.

Hi @CaerphillyObserver:disqus I completely understand. It was just upsetting to read knowing hundreds of people will read the article in the way that I did, thinking that this boy assaulted was fighting when he wasn’t. I understand you may not be able to report such things yet, but I just wanted to add my comment so people could understand a bit more of the story and so peoples views were not tainted. Thank you for responding. Much appreciated.

The poor victim has sadly passed away. Senseless murder. I hope the assailant receives the punishment he deserves.
