Work to reduce congestion on the signalled junction on the A467/A472 in Crumlin will begin on Monday January 5.
The work, which is being funded by the Welsh Government, are scheduled to last 34 weeks.
Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of the works during off-peak times, 9.30am until 3.30pm, and after 6.30pm on weekdays. During these times, the number of lanes available may be reduced which could lead to some delays to journey times.
