A serious crash near Merthyr Tydfil closed the A470 in both directions.
Two people have been taken to hospital following the crash near the A465 Heads of The Valleys road.
The police and fire service have warned motorists of dangerous driving conditions and black ice after a number of incidents in the South Wales Valleys this morning.
As of 11.25am the A470 the road has been reopened.
