Risca-based production company Zipline Creative is celebrating after a BBC documentary it made about the life of Gareth Thomas was selected by an international distributor.
London-based Boulder Creek International has decided to showcase the film, Game Changer, to international buyers at MIPCOM, one of the world’s largest entertainment markets, in Cannes.
Producer and director Rhys Waters said: “We had amazing feedback from our screenings on BBC Wales and BBC One, I think Alfie was swamped on Twitter. For us it’s really nice to see that people are interested in our work and think that it has international potential.
“We owe a lot to Alfie’s honesty and to his family for welcoming us into their lives.”
