News | | Published: 08:53, Monday June 29th, 2015.

A 17-year-old boy from the Caerphilly area has been charged with theft and possessing a knife blade in a public place after a shop theft.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court on June 19.

The court was told how £125 and cigarettes were stolen from the General Stores in Graig y Rhacca on June 17.

The boy was released on bail and was due to appear at Cwmbran Youth Court on June 23.

However a warrant was issued by the court for the teen’s arrest after he failed to attend the case hearing.
