The annual Machen Agricultural Show takes place on Saturday July 4, featuring the Donkey Derby, falconry and a vintage machine display.
The popular show, that is nearing its 75th year, will also feature numerous trade and food stalls set the beautiful countryside of Mill Farm in the village.
There will also be a family dog show and livestock exhibitors with hounds, goats, poultry, terriers and rabbits on display.
The show runs from 8.30am until 6pm and costs £5 for adults, £3 for children or £15 for a family ticket.
Great to see Machen Rural Market taking part in the show, Jan and her bunch of willing volunteers have worked tirelessly to set up this great event in Machen and give something valuable and enjoyable to the local community, despite the best efforts of some miserable moron to have the Machen market stopped it goes from strength to strength, pity that Caerphilly Council do not see the value of local community projects and give support to it, shame on you Caerphilly Council.
