Bedwas Junior School has been awarded for helping to support pupils and other members of the school community to become healthier.
The school was given a National Quality Award, the top marks a school can get through the Network of Healthy School Schemes.
Headteacher Paul Warren said: “We are delighted to have received this very special award.
“Our healthy schools programme has had a positive impact on children’s learning and has ensured that all pupils feel valued by making positive contributions to all aspects of school life.”
