A Caerphilly County Borough museum has been shortlisted for a national award for being family friendly.
The Winding House in New Tredegar is just one of six shortlisted from 800 nominations for the Telegraph & Kids in Museums’ Family Friendly Museum Award.
It was chosen by a panel of experts, including historian and broadcaster Helen Castor, celebrity author and Kids in Museums patron, Damian Dibben and Sharon Heal, Director of the Museums Association.
Cllr Ken James, said: “Since opening in 2009, all the staff and volunteers have placed families at the heart of everything they do and I am extremely proud that their hard work, enthusiasm and passion has secured them a shortlisted place for this year’s Telegraph Family Friendly Museum Award.”
