A Newbridge man has been arrested after a man was reportedly threatened with an imitation firearm at a Blackwood club.

Police said a man was reportedly threatened with a “gas-powered air pistol” in the VIP area of the Flour Mill on High Street on Friday October 23 at around 10pm.

The weapon was seized by police.

A 33-year-old man is in custody and has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He is due to appear in court on November 12.

Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information can call 101 quoting log 585 23/10/15.
