American fast food chain Burger King is to open a new branch in Caerphilly town.
Middlesex-based company Millcliffe Ltd will open a franchise of the restaurant in Castle Court Shopping Centre, in the empty unit that used to house the Cancer Research Wales charity shop.
A spokeswoman for Burger King said the new outlet could be open as early as the end of this month, but added that an exact date will not be known until closer to the time.
Caerphilly County Borough Council’s planning committee has ruled the new takeaway can only open between 7am and 12 midnight Monday to Saturday and between 7am and 11pm on Sundays.
I hope they get rid of that charity shop funk first.
That will cause a dilemma for the Caerphillyites – do they go into Burger King before or after their weekly visit to BrightHouse.
It is Caerphillyites we are talking about here. The chubsters will visit before AND after.
Always great news to get branded stores/restaurants in Caerphilly. This is good for the whole community. Let’s be positive guys 🙂
Just exactly what the town needs. and it is thanks to the Town council and the Plaid Cymru Councillors that the town Centre is such a pleasant place to take the kids and Granny for a day out. More of it I say.
Love It!
How`s that for Irony Councillor? you are the only one to recognise it it appears.
Sharp End, ITV Last Monday evening. Sam Gould had his Say !!!!!!
Fast food outlets are not the best but neither are they the worse.
Always great news when a business which has questionable tax affairs opens in Caerphilly Town. This now means that the people of Caerphilly will, as usual, pay taxes on everything they buy, (built into the price of all foods, hot and cold) and be sure that money goes straight to Canada, making the poorest area of child poverty even less able to properly make a meaningful contribution to UK taxes.
Seems just a tiny bit perverse to me. and another reason for the Government to ensure that these international conglomorates, raiding the public purse of Billions of Pounds evey year are brought to book.
