A school teacher has been jailed for making indecent images of children.
Tyrone Mark, 40, of Linden Court, Newbridge, was caught with 185 videos and images on his phone and laptop. Ten of the images were rated as “Category A”.
Southampton Crown Court was told that Geography teacher Mark, a former head of year at Arnewood School in New Milton, Hampshire, committed the offences after he was sacked over an inappropriate relationship with a student.
He had given a pupil alcohol, condoms and keys to his house.
As part of the investigation, police discovered the images.
Mark pleaded guilty to 17 charges of making indecent images and was jailed for six months.
Sentencing him at a hearing on Monday, February 15, Judge Peter Henry described the images as “repulsive”.
