A creative studio specialising in computer-generated imagery has won a major plaudit for one of its 3D animations.

Bomper Studio, based at the Welsh Innovation Centre for Enterprise on Caerphilly Business Park, was named as the ‘People’s Choice’ for best use of 3D at the Creativepool 2016 Awards.

The studio’s short animation of a Coca-Cola bottle with 1950s’ icon Marilyn Monroe came top in a poll of 12,000 fellow professionals and members of the public in the Creativepool network.

As a reward for their efforts, Bomper Studio has been profiled in a ‘portfolio’ of the best CGI producers in the country.

The golden-covered annual is a showcase to other leading creative agencies and will lead to greater worldwide exposure for the Caerphilly-based company.

The latest award comes on the back of winning the Innovation in Business category at last year’s Caerphilly Business Forum Awards.

Emlyn Davies, founder of Bomper Studio, said: “The annuals will be going out in May and June and it should give as massive exposure to the big advertising agencies.”
