Changes to bus schedules across the borough start in August

News | | Published: 13:00, Tuesday July 26th, 2016.

Residents are being reminded of a number of changes to bus services across Caerphilly County Borough from the end of July.

For some services, there will only be minor alterations to times or a change of operator, while for others there are major revisions to routes and timetables.

While most of the changes have been made to ensure comprehensive coverage across the borough, the council said, some services have been changed to improve reliability, improve connections, and enhance services where passenger numbers have increased.

In October last year, the council and Bus Users Cymru held a number of sessions with residents across the borough, and changes have been decided upon as a result of the feedback received, including:

• Extending Route H, serving Aldi in Caerphilly.
• Diverting Route 26 around Parc Nantgarw in the evening and on Sundays.
• Improving the daytime reliability of Route 151.
• Adding an earlier bus on Sundays on Route 1 from Rhymney Bridge to Bargoed.

A full summary of the changes can be found on the bus timetables section at www.caerphilly.gov.uk.
