News | | Published: 10:13, Thursday August 25th, 2016.

Police are appealing for information after a boy from Hengoed was bitten by a dog, and taken to a local doctors surgery.

Officers received reports that the 13-year-old boy had been bitten by a black and white dog – possibly a border collie – in the area of Old Parish Lane, leading to Cae Canol, Hengoed, at around 5pm on Monday, August 22.

He was taken to a local doctors surgery for treatment to the wound on his thigh.

Police are now searching for the dog’s owner, who is described as a white man in his sixties, approximately six feet tall, of average build, wearing a dark green rain jacket and black trousers.

Anyone with any information on the incident, can call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log: 389 22/08/16.
