The death of a 29-year-old man at an address in Fleur-de-Lys is not being treated as suspicious by police.
Officers were called to Plas Road at around 11.50am on Tuesday, January 3.
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said enquiries were ongoing, but the death was not being treated as suspicious.
She refused to confirm local reports the death was as a result of a firearm.
