Two men have denied attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a 47-year-old man in Hafodyrynys over the Christmas period.

Christopher Trigg, 35, and Simon Trigg, 32, both of no fixed abode, denied the charges at a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday January 27.

On Tuesday December 27, a 47-year-old man from Pontypool was stabbed in the torso during an attack on Mill Court, Hafodyrynys, at around 3.45am.

The man required emergency treatment at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

The next hearing is due on March 10, with a trial scheduled to begin on June 26.
