A 17-year-old boy from the Gelligaer area has denied two charges of supplying drugs after he appeared at Cwmbran Youth Court.

The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested following the death of 15-year-old Shauna Davies, who died in a wooded area just off Caerphilly Mountain Road last month.

Two charges of supplying Class A and Class B drugs, namely MDMA and cannabis, between December 15, last year, and June 19, this year, were read out during the hearing held today, Tuesday, July 25.

The teenager entered pleas of not guilty for both charges and was bailed until Tuesday, August 22, when he will stand trial at Cwmbran Youth Court.

A pre-inquest hearing, held earlier this month, was told a cause of death for Shauna Davies had yet to be established.
