Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney MP, Gerald Jones, and AM, Dawn Bowden, have organised a jobs fair which will be held on Friday, September 8, at Ael Y Bryn Community Centre in Rhymney between 10am and 1pm.
Throughout the day businesses with job vacancies, apprenticeships schemes, volunteering opportunities will be on hand to help maximise the potential of all those wanting to develop their skills and get into employment. There will be a mix of local employers as well as national employers.
Gerald Jones MP said: “The Jobs Fair is the latest in a series of events organised by myself and Dawn Bowden AM to offer assistance, advice or support to our constituents.
“I am extremely pleased with the number of employers, training providers and partner organisations that are involved and I am particularly grateful to Job Centre Plus and Caerphilly CBC Communities First for their support in planning the event.
“This event is a great opportunity for local people to get a flavour of some of the Job vacancies that exist locally and I hope that as many people as possible will attend to see what is on offer.”
Dawn Bowden AM added: “I am pleased to take the opportunity to jointly host a Jobs Fair with Gerald Jones MP.
“Alongside the encouraging involvement of a number of key organisations, I am delighted that I have already been contacted by constituents who are looking forward to attending, and have welcomed this initiative supporting their efforts to secure local employment.”
