Will Islwyn Indoor Bowls Club see a surge in interest in the sport after Marc Wyatt’s gold medal success at the Commonwealth Games?

Islwyn certainly hope so as they host an open day on Saturday, May 5, at the indoor bowls centre in Gelli Lane, Pontllanfraith, from 10am until 4pm.

The club open day provides an opportunity for adults of all ages and children over nine years to have a go at indoor bowls in free taster sessions – under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitable equipment will be provided and refreshments and food will be available.

Marc trains at the club so you might just be sharing facilities with the Gold Coast hero.
